Lanford Melmuth M., Pvt., Enlisted 7/1/62, Camp Randolph, First appears in muster 10/31/63, With section in FL 2/64, Captured Fisher's Hill 9/22/64, Released 6/29/65. 1850 Census list Milmuth Langford age 20, born S.C., living Dekalb Co in the household of Jesse Langford. In same household, Ellsberry and James Thomas Langford. PR Widow Nancy applied Gwinnett Co. 4/14/91. She had been a GA resident since 5/1/39. She and Melmoth married 1/21/58. Melmoth was captured at the Battle of Fisher's Hill 9/22/64, Sent to Point Lookout POW Camp, Released after the close of the war, Started home and died along the way in Orangeburg, SC about 6/65. Witness' J.T. Jordan, A.W. Lanford, and E.C. Lanford all state that Melmoth was captured at Fisher's Hill. They were all neighbors of Nancy Lanford. Records show that Nancy received a pension through 1907.
