Sudderth William H - Enlisted as private in Company F 6th Georgia State troops Oct 21st 1861. April 16 1862 shows him present Mustered out of Savannah, Ga. April 1862 Enlisted as a private in Company D 9th battalion Ga. Artillery. Roll Date Nov. 1st 1863 shows him present no further record. Buried at Hopewell Christian Church Cemetery, old Peachtree Road 2 miles North of Lawrenceville Suwannee Road Born 13 November 1842 Died 28 September 1920 Slightly Wounded. Wifes pension Mrs. Elizabeth Moore Sudderth married 20 Nov. 1866 . His pension says while on duty at Chickamauga was wounded by a one ounce lead ball which struck me in the left side inflicting a sever wound and taken to the Stewers division hospital for treatment remained there for a few days and received a furlough for 30 days and after furlough returned to my company at Chattanooga, Tenn. and surrendered on April 9 1865 at Appomattox Courthouse Va.
