Winn, Thomas Elijah -- 1st Lieutenant - August 24, 1861. Elected Captain August 19, 1862; Major May 6, 1864; Lieutenant Colonel September 10, 1864. Pension records show he was furloughed for 30 days January 18, 1865. Cut off from command by Federal Army February 1865. Joined General Wofford at Atlanta, Georgia, to assist in arresting stragglers, and surrendered there May 9, 1865. Died in Confederate Soldiers' Home at Atlanta, Georgia June 5, 1925.
