Garner, Joseph - private May 12, 1862. Captured at Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863, and paroled there July 7, 1863. Pension records show he was left at Buzzard Roost Creek, Ala. on account of illness, and remained until May 1865.(Born in Union, S. C. April 30, 1831)
