PR Applied Walker Co. 4/8/02. A continuous resident of GA since 1897. Born Gwinnett Co. age 62 in 1902. A stone cutter with a wife. Wife's sister lives with them, she is a Confederate Soldier's Widow. He lived in IN in 1895 & 1895, and lived in TN in 1896. Served in 12th GA Battalion from early 1962 through 2/5/65. Wounded left Leg near Petersburg 2/5/65. (Hatcher's Run) At home on furlough from hospital at the time of the surrender. Witness H.D. Capers of Putnam Co. stated that Goza enlisted into the Dekalb Rifles of 12th GA Battalion, G.W. Johnson's Company. Physician's statement wound broke Fibula. A witness stated that Goza's step children helped support him.
